I keep getting stuff from the guys at Signifer. I order something and they send it, along with a ton of freebies. It just so happens that they do make possibly the finest and most extensive 10mm, 15mm, and 25mm flags going. Of course, they keep releasing flags that I've already painted. CURSES - that won't stop me! Great Westphalians, Italians, etc. - even if you don't have the figures, the flags are collectible like cards. Yes, despite what I said in "Jerome's Corner"(this issue), I'll replace 75% of my home made flags with printed flags. I'll never paint those stupid Bavarian lozenges or Union stripes again, not to mention...no, wait, I've got a little pride left. I'll not tell all my secrets. I would like them to do several things, especially country X's flag - but I did them quite well myself, so.... David Jackson, Pharaoh's Arms, is the sole North American representative of Chariot Miniatures. Chariot produces a growing line of NAPOLEONICS from the revolution on. The Russians should have many new additions by the time you see this. These are in a clean Minifigs style, well animated and detailed (see previous reviews) and are really 15-16 mm figure and quite well priced (8 inf @ $2.85). David also has a painting service. They also carry a line of 10mm and 15mm flags that I've not seen yet. For all you terrain junkies who have no time left to build anything, I bring you Murff Turf - TERRAIN TO FIGHT OVER, a great moniker. You may have seen his stuff at conventions. Murff was kind enough to send me photos and a VCR tape. Murff will build you anything you want at reasonable rates. Contact him for specific rates, etc. His basic range is $15 to $45 for standard chunks of scenery. All surfaces are flocked and convincingly realistic, with the expected materials and a good sense of detail. It all looked great to me - like observing from a plane. It's just lucky that I still love making terrain or my budget would be in big trouble. This is very fine stuff and it's always nice to have someone else do the work for you. Hey, maybe then you can finally find time to paint something.
