It is my pleasure to present this issue of English Civil War Times. Despite appearances to the contrary, this is not intended to be a bi-annual publication. I am sure that some of the articles included have been forwarded bythe authors more as an acto of faith than an expectation of publication. Nobody, except perhaps Baz, is happier than I to see issue 52 completed. English Civil War Times is back and ready to build on the success of the predecessor.

No self-respecting first editorial would be complete without a request for contributions. Your articles, letters, notes, and queries, illustrations, and photographs are the key to a future success of the magazine. I look forward to the opportunity of being the first to view them. It is also my hope that many of you will seek me out at re-enactments and wargames hsows I attend with Caliver Books/Partizan Press.
