Officers and soldiers of Prince Rupert's Regiment and the King's Lifeguard of Foot at St Mary's Grand Muster this summer. If those readers who re-enact think they've missed an event, don't worry, it was in the States!. The photo depicts members of the English Civil War Society of America (unaffiliated to our ECWS they tell me). I can personally vouch for their enthusiasm and, considering the fact that they don't have easy access to the reenactment supplies we have over here, a committment to a level of accuracy that would shame many of their UK counterparts. (I've been asked to say that the pikeman in the buffcoat only has it as he looted it from a dead LTB a few days ago that a certain NCO may well be seen with it in future photos)
