FYI

by Major Bill Harting

From member Kevin Fitzpatrick

Gents,

As most of you are aware we experienced a break-in the night of 7/20 or 7/21. This was discovered by Ron at Lackland Furniture store and Overland Police.

Here's what we know:

1). The Office window was the point of entry. From that point they rifled the office, storage shelves in the back corner, breaking into the locked storage cabinet, opened the desk drawers and moved to the sliding glass door.

2). Using a wrench from the tool kit on the shelves they broke out the glass on the door and proceeded into the store.

3). Merchandise was stolen from the sales floor including Pokeman Collectible Card Game decks and boosters, Some Yo Yo's, The entire shelf of Magic CCG, A box of card sheets, some plastic storage boxes and all rare magic card singles. We are working on an inventory of these items

4). The basement was entered and the furnace room was opened but nothing appeared to be missing.

5). No cash was missing.

6). Overland Police took photos and finger prints from the likely areas of the store.

7). The insurance company has been contacted.

8). John effected emergency repairs to secure the perimeter and for our safety. He will continue on this work tomorrow.

9). Other area game retailers have been contacted and advised of the break in.

I'll let you know more when I know something. While this is a major pain in the backside it could have been much worse. No one was hurt and while we sustained losses to be sure, we can continue to function. Kevin.

Bottom line is that if someone offers any of our members some `Magic' (the Addiction) or Pokeman cards at a special price, beware and call the local authorities. Mb.

Some more bad news, in that member Baxter Key was diagnosed as having the same problems (caught earlier, thank God) that the winner of the Tour de France suffered. He's now recovering well and shall be kept in our prayers.

I usually don't try to inform folks of ISP address changes etc. but Chuck Cook asked to remind all of you of the change of his Quality Castings email and web site. Email is: qc@qualitycast.com and web is: www.qualitycast.com
