Another Nashcon has come and gone, and from what I have heard from evervone, both attendees and dealers had a great show If vou missed this one, next years promises to be even bigger & better

Now, I'm sure that most ofyou have heard that 19" Century Miniatures has taken over the production of 15mm figure (except the 15mm World War II line) from Old Glory Corp. They have begun to come out with their long anticipated Ancients line starting with Gauls & Marian Romans he are 10 packs of Gauls available including 5 packs of infantry, 1 pack, of cavalry, 1 command, and one chariot. For the Romans, there are 2 different packs of Legionaries, 1 command, 2 cavalry, and 1 skirmish (archers & stingers). The figure's Scale Out at 16M on the Barrett scale, are well cast, and have the usual multiple poses The price is a very reasonable $12.50 per pack of 50 infantry. 16 cavalry, 16 command, or 4 2-horse chariot; Nine more eras/nationalities are scheduled for release in the next few months so this is a line to keep an eye on if you are interested in 15mm Ancients

Also from 19th Century is the addition of Japanese to their 25mm World War II line here are 2 different bags of infantry, a heavy weapons pack, san pan with crew, mule train, & special troops (knee inorlars, snipers, etc.) Also there are Type 95 & 97 tankette, 2 variants of Chi-Ha, an Ito-No self propelled gun, and a Chi-No heavy tank. The figures scale out at 25M and there is a good mix of pose and facial expression. The figure packs run $1 per pack and the tanks run from $20 for the tankettes to $30 for rest. 19th Century also had released a M3 A1 Stuart for the Americans which was quite nice, but that seems to have been pulled from the line up. We will keep all of you Stuart fans updated as we hear more.

Also in the 25mm range for World War II, 1st Corp has repackage their line into 15 man squad packs. The packs run $19 95 each so they are $1.33 per fig vs $1.00 from 19th Centurv, but hey, there's probably 30% more lead in these figures. They still scale at about 27M but they do have the U S Marines and German Paras The have also brought out new 25mm bombed out buildings which are some of the best we've seen. Lots of storefronts. garages, and farm houses that run from $17.50 to $21.98. Detail is excellent and there is very little assembly work. Usualy, all that is needed is to glue the upper story floors into the grooves that are cast into the structure.

Also new from 1st Corp is their line of 25mm Ancients for the Warhammer Ancient Battles rules. First out is their line of Persian and Spartans These are VERY nice, scaling in at 25M, with great animation, and very little flash. They are available in packs of 6 figures for $7.98, or 10 or 24 man units at $19.98 or $24.98 respectively Coming soon are 1st Century Romans which, if they are anything like the Persians and Spartans, will give The Foundry a run for their money.

Finally, there is the Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company, While they are well know for their fine range of 25mm Russian Civil War figures and World War I & II vehicles, they now have a line of African animals and hunters that fit in well with Foundry's Darkest African range. Everything from elephants to wildebeast and zebras The look about fight for the 25mm figures and run $6 75 for the hippo to $15.95 for a bull elephant. For those of you who like Howard Whitehouse's African adventure style games, these will really fill the bill. And for those of you who like a little twist to your adventure games (ala Doug McClure style), they also have a range of 25mm Dinosaurs Velociraptors to T-Rex. Now I'm not sure how well these scale out, (having never seen them in the flesh so to speak), but they look good.
