From Theron Kuntz I'm planning (rough ms.) of a follow-up article for the previous fog-of-war article I did in the past for the DISPATCH, which will, essentially, give the proverbial boot to fog of war as a mechanism of Historical Miniature Wargame scenario functions, with the exception being that the fow is friction, associated with upper command functions. Thus, in most HMS scenarios, now is unnoticeable and unengendered because of the average command level of an event in HMW may be the battalion, with brigades, divisions, and corps being parent organizations. In the singular event in most HMW scenarios, demonstrating fow would be inconsequential to the scenario's evolution, with the minor exceptions of "elements" of fow becoming, inextricably, involved, somehow. In special scenario types, such as a pre-emptive or unannounced attack (like Pearl Harbor), there would be plenty fow conditions, yet this would be considered friction also when the participants try to formulate their necessary strategies to defeat their competition. FOW effects upper-echelons of command strategy! I'm almost finished with MMII. I'm working on the glossary, presently. I would have been on time (release date), but I lost much time in May, so the release date will wend into July 1999. In any event, when MMII is finished and the copyright application sent to the CO, I'll send a copy of both TMP and MWII for your reference and critique. From Kimball Kelsey: Hello Bill - I'm in need of a little help that only you can provide
through the HMGS DISPATCH. I am trying to find a person that sold some
painted Roman/Barbarian figures at NASHCON. On the red box that contained
the figures was the name: D. H. Clemence with a phone# of 469-4394. I
have tried all kinds of area codes to talk to this individual, TN, MS, KY,
IL with no results. Would you please put this in the DISPATCH, asking the
individual to call me at 901-247-3941 or e-mail me at
