The Thin Red Line

Movie Review (1)

by Jeff Mattes

If you haven't seen Thin Red Line yet don't, it is painfull to sit through. The only way to describe it is, cinamagraphic masturbation, if we're in luck this genius will not make another film for at least another 20 years, and if we're real lucky-never. Most of the combat scenes were ok, and you could get an occasional glimpse of the book, but even then he would sometimes get lost. Often I was not sure what book he was shooting from: Heart of Darkness, Lord Jim, something about birds, Gone with the Wind?

Frankly after what's his name started wandering around the island, I didn't give a damn.
