Old Glory British 8th Army Figures

by Major Bill

Lord Al told me that Old Glory was doing some 15mm desert WWII Infantry, so I told him to order me some. I had it in my mind they would be Afrika Korps, but they turned out to be 8th Army which I needed.

The bag was typical Old Glory packaging, which means fifty figures for $12.00, Advancing Riflemen. All 50 (well 56, so Connie must not have packed them) were SMLE Enfield rifle armed with fixed bayonets, with five to eleven figures of seven different poses, all coming in at 15M on the Barrett scale. All are in shorts and short sleeve shirts without packs (save a half dozen, or so with packs) and having the typical British web belts, crossed in back and carrying two ammo pouches I don't know, maybe I'm getting jaded In my old age but nothing about these figures really jumped out and grabbed me except their Brogans which for some reason really did. They are well sculpted and animated figures and would be a proud addition to any British desert army.
