You might notice that this month is a bit later than usual. I’m printing the submissions that I receive. If you would like to see more in the Dispatch, I have to receive more. I’ve currently printed everything that I’ve ever received except for pictures of gaming tables. If anyone would like, I’d be happy to send you a blank MS Word document to use for formatting submissions, especially for those wanting to submit flyers and notices. There are still plans for reformatting/updating the web page. For those who have not seen it, the address is http://www.hmgs-midsouth.org I’ve received a couple of offers for working on it and I’m considering how it would be easier to handle. I’ve looked at a few content managers and also at reworking the site using DreamWeaver or some other product. Any would be designers are welcome to contact me, I’d also welcome any comments on personal experiences with various content managers. Update on Grad School Status For those who might be interested, the semester has gotten into full swing and I’ve already had to deal with two groups of whining students. (I taught the CompSci required labs for the undergrads last time, and I have the “This is a mouse, this is a keyboard” class for all of the students who couldn’t test out of it this time.) I’ve always joked about the Liberal Arts majors being the one’s who have time to party (as apposed to the hard science majors) and it appears that they have time to whine about their grades as well. Reminders I would like to set a date of the second (2nd) Saturday as the deadline for submitting material for the current month’s Dispatch. johnhoover@hmgs-midsouth.org Back to Dispatch February 2004 Table of Contents Back to Dispatch List of Issues Back to MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 2004 by HMGS Mid-South This article appears in MagWeb (Magazine Web) on the Internet World Wide Web.
