Interesting stuff from you, as usual. I do understand your point about wargames being a reason to have our little lead men do more than pose nicely in cabinets, but I also appreciate Paddy's view that as mediums of historical simulation, they often get in the way of his objective of creating analytical models of military history. Since I actually like toy soldiers a lot, and generally focus on having a good time rather than creating an accurate simulation of, well, anything (because I don't want anyone shooting at me, especially in my spare time) I don't agree with him. I don't agree with you, though, about Paddy's wargame writings.
