Deep in the South Carolina woods a lone milita commander, Lt. General Dratshire and his rag-tag band of rebels were finally cornered. with their back to the wall the rebels made their stand against the redcoats. The battle was played on a 8x6 table with the British coming in on ALL table sides. the Americans where stuck in the middle of heavy woods surrounding a burned out cabin. Objectives: Brits: kill/capture American Lt. Gen. Americans/French: hold off attackers until Dratshire could be rescued. The Brits. Cold Stream Lights, Queen's Rangers Lights, De Lancey's Brigade, Jaegers, and a bunch of Indians. The Americans Local Rifles, Minute Men, Porterfields Lights, and the a French rescue force. The first turn both side jockeyed for position with little shooting and no melee. Turn two saw the French relief force show up on the British left and the Cold Streams charged the Porterfield Lights for little affect. the Indians snuck up the middle while the Queens Rangers and De Lancey's force pushed towards the cabin. Both sides shot at each other with little affect. the third turn the French attempted to close with the Indians but ran into Al's Jaegers sneaking around their flank. The rifles and Indians exchanged shots with little damage while Cold Streamers and Porterfields continued to melee. The next several turns the Cold Streamers creamed the Portfield Lights with musketry and cold steel. The Queens Rangers and De Lancey's lads over ran the cabin and pushed the Minute Men into the rear of the Rifles. The rifles fired into the Indians and forced them to retreat back into the woods. the French scared off the Jaegers and De Lancey's troops killed the American Lt. General.
