I am sure you have gotten your fill of the events of 11 September 2001 but it has been such a tragic and traumatic event in the lives of virtually all Americans that this issue will share some thoughts from myself and others on the event. I will try to keep the thinking along the lines of military options, etc. some of which will probably be OBE (overcome by events) by the time this gets to you. One thought is about our nation's leadership. When this nation has faced crisis (or war) there sometimes come along leaders like Lincoln, FDR, Teddy Roosevelt or Harry Truman. The words and considered actions of the present president and this nation's leadership appear to place 'George 43' in this category. Who knows as time and events will tell. It is also the time of year to collect dues, which is why there is an envelope for you to place your $10. If no envelope is included, your dues are not yet due. I hope to see many of you at Reunion this year.
