L Sprague de Camp Died

by Maj. Bill Harting

Off the DBM email list:

Sad news, forwarded from the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society's email list:

L Sprague de Camp died earlier today (November 6). He would have been 93 later this month. His wife, Catherine Crook de Camp, died earlier this year.

de Camp has been publishing since 1939 when "The Isolinguals" was published. He has since published science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, horror, poetry, history, historical fiction, etc. etc.

As promised, the information on Lord Al's picking up stakes and moving is in these pages. Rather than a little hole in his real business, Al Gaiser is buying a building which will house his Industrial plumbing supply and a Store Front shop for Lord Al's. They are moving the week between Xmas and New Year and the new facility will feature a gaming area and expanded space for lead for sale.
