Guys, if you are even vaguely interested in a) The Warring States in China, or b) Great battle scenes, don't miss 'The Emperor and the Assassin'. Set in 221BC, as Ch'in unites the warring states (with extreme brutality). Fantastic battle scenes, 'with massed chariots' and cavalry, siege scenes with engines being pushed up to burning city walls, and serious numbers of extras - there's on shot of the Chi'n army on the march where they just fill a plain as far as the eye can see very impressive. I wanted to buy a Warring States army right away, but fortunately no-one was selling them (the film is rather long, so it was late). Who makes figures for this period (Terracotta army) in 25mm? The chariots were shown with 3 crew, but only 2 horses (should be 4, Ithink maybe there were problems controlling teams of 4?), and looked very cool. Driver, archer, and dagger- axe man. If you wondered whether charioteers could fight with close combat weapons while riding past each other at a gallop - they can... Didn't notice any crossbows being used, but plenty of regular composite bows. Colours mostly rather dull greys and browns and dull reds.
