After buying my copy of Chariot Wars, I can say in all honesty that Nigel Stillman did an excellent job of putting together this second Warhammer Ancient Battle supplement. The book covered seven different ancient Near East armies from 2500 SC-500 BC.

The first part of the book concerned itself with new rules specifically for chariot warfare and then focuses in on the "New Chronology", which redated ancient Middle Eastern history. The author then provided specific army lists starting with the Sumerian & Akkadian armies, New Kingdom Egyptians, Hammuarabic Babylonia, Hittite Empire, Trojan War, Israelites, and the Assyrian Empire (which fit rather nicely for Foundry's marketing strategy as they redo their ancients range).

Chariot Wars provided lots of color photos and Osprey-like plates as painting guides, courtesy of the Perry Twins, while also having examples of scratch-built Middle Eastern buildings.

I've play-tested the Trojan War army lists using 1,000 point forces. Each time, the battles worked out well. Besides this, I also want to paint up a New Kingdom Egyptian army to compliment my current Bronze Age armies.

So if you're interested in Bronze Age warfare, then Chariot Wars is for you.
