Major Bill's Mailbag

Letters to the Editor

From Chris Scott

Well, look who's actually on line these days! This new-fangled communication system as even got across the Pond! However, I warn you now, you'll never Don around to it! I saw in the latest DISPATCH somebody asking about Crimean War rules. Well I attach a set we use fairly regularly at my place - the home of the 'Swindon Irregulars' of Miniature Wargames fame! They are not bad, give the feel of the period etc... but as with all real wargames you have to play in the spirit of the age to get the most out of them. Do feel free to publish them - and naturally no charge just a wish the players enjoy themselves. Still hoping to get across and see you sometime.

From Howard Whitehouse

Greetings from the far north! All goes well so far I'm running the Foundry Trade sales operation from my Bijou Basement (we have two floors of a Victorian townhouse in 'historic Cabbagetown'). The job is tough; I constantly talk to wargamers, get free samples in the mail, and write wargames material. I can't believe they pay me for it --- You can find me at 409 Wellesley St East, Toronto, Ontario M4X 1H5, tel 877-360-9111 toll free, or at: HowardW@netcom.ca Best wishes, send newsletters, I may try to send you something publishable soon ---
