This is "Cry 'Havoc!' #45. Please note that this is also about a month early. One of my "resolutions" for 2004 was to restore "Cry 'Havoc!'" to its proper schedule. After 11 years of publication and two bad years, I felt it was something I needed to do. I also want to point out that I have been very fortunate thanks to all of you. There has been an outpouring of contributons and articles from our regulars and some "new" folk. This is the sort of thing that keeps us operating and without you we would have folded long ago. Welcome to Matthew Quinn who joins us with his first contribution -- the terrible day when Seljuk shattered Byzantine. Also joining us for the first time is Magweb's own president -- Russ Lockwood. Russ joins Alan Cranford, Bob Miller and Janet Phillips in a round table on Gods and Generals. Two World War II veterans, Jimmie McWilliams and Everett Richardson, both frequent contributors, also give voice to their feelings -- oddly and serendipitously on the same topic -- the reunion. Rounding out the issue in Jim Bloom's insightful look at Chester Starr's classic. Rumor has it that Mike Flynn is writing again! Reminder/Special Offer Cry "Havoc!" is available free to all active duty personnel serving with the Armed Forces of any nation (OK NOT North Korea). Subscriptions are sent by e-mail only though in extraordinary circumstances they will be mailed to APO boxes. Military members will also receive the irregular e-mail updates on military affairs and events. SO -- if you have a friend or relative in the Armed Forces and think they would like to receive Cry "Havoc!" please e-mail me at cryhavoc42@yahoo.com or desertwriter1121@yahoo.com Back to Cry Havoc! #45 Table of Contents Back to Cry Havoc!
