Former editorial assistant PV2 Karl M. Tschanz recently completed Basic Training at Fort Sill where he learned how to use the M16A2. The picture of Karl was taken in January 1992 at Khobar Towers, under the watchful eyes of the 1st Cavalry while on a Cub Scout outing to visit the military units stationed there. Little did anyone know that it was a harbinger of things to come....
