Let Slip the Dogs of War

Editorial

Women Warriors of the American Civil War pose for a group portrait.

Obviously this issue is overdue -- way overdue!

The reason is simple -- I had a back operation on May 6th and was off on "sick leave" until late July. Three and a half months of "M" time may sound like a really great holiday -- it isn't. All that happens is everything piles up and decisions have to be made as to where to put limited resources of time, energy and strength. The good news is that Cry Havoc 32 WILL be on time and in your mailboxes on November 11!

The current issues marks the return of Jim Werbaneth's travel articles. Ken West examines the question of distinguishing between rebellion and revolution using Crane Brinton's model. Janet Phillips returns with a history of the role of women in the American Revolution. First time contributor RC Bell offers a review of the battle of Glorietta Pass, "the Gettysburg of the West." Vietnam Vet James Chadwick provides us with an account of a special night encounter during his tour there.
