This third issue of Cry "Havoc!" is particularly gratifying for a number of reasons. First, a quick glance of the contents page will show that nearly all of it is from contributors other than yours truly. Second, Cry "Havoc!" was reviewed favorably in a recent issue of Line of Departure -- the first outside comments about our newsletter. A portion of the review is reprinted in this issue for our readers who may not have seen it. And our subscription base has been growing as the word gets around. This month's feature article is by new subscriber and first- time contributor Mike Flynn. Flynn provides an interesting insight into the process of self-delusion that caused the initial success and subsequent failure of OPERATION BARBAROSSA. We finally got a review on a computer game other than one made by MicroProse, this by first time contributor Gus Carroll. Carroll brings a unique mix of experience to his review -- 20 years in the Air Force and a level of computer skills that transcends the experts. Travel takes us to Civil War battlefield sites west of the Missisippi as Pete Warnock turns his archaeologist's eye on Pea Ridge and Wilson's Creek. As always we want YOUR contributions, they help make us a newsletter YOU want to read.
