Brian Train was good enough to a) point out the mistake in last issue's game and b) to write the correction for us: Power Play Errata In last issue's game Power Play, some text regarding the counters got misplaced somewhere on our time-sharing abacus. You might have figured it out anyway, but here are the missing instructions on how to mount and color the counters:

You will see that the top and bottom halves of the counter sheet are mirror images of each other. One half will be the "front" sides of the counters, and the other half will be the "back" side, marked with a red stripe along the bottom or top of each counter to show affiliation with the Rebel player.

First, color the counters with colored pencils or unobtrusive Hi-Liter markers. The 10 civilian units (Media, Business, etc.) and the TURN marker are left white; the 12 paramilitary markers (all units marked POL, M, and the two ARMS +2 markers) are colored yellow; and the 27 military units are colored green. Now add the red stripe to the counters in the bottom half of the sheet.

Next, cut out the top half of the counter sheet and glue it to some thin card like shirt cardboard. Use sparing amounts of white glue or rubber cement. When the glue is dry, cut the counters out in a single block and glue the bottom half of the counter sheet to the back of the counters. Make sure the bottom half is oriented so that you are making counters that are the same on both sides, differing only by the red stripe! When the counter sheet is completely dry, cut the counters into strips and cut the strips into single counters. Use an X-acto knife and ruler, rather than scissors or a guillotine-type paper cutter.

Former copy editor Kelly West and her husband, Ken, a longtime subscriber, will be setting up house in Tunisia by the time you receive this. Maybe now someone will remember to do that article on the Mongols he's been promising for two years. Joe Miranda has resigned as editor of Strategy & Tactics. No current word on who the new editor will be. A warm welcome to new members Geoffrey Riddell and Mark Kramer. Geoffrey is currently residing in Singapore, while Mark hails from sunny California. Mark has also asked for a set of writer's guidelines. Submissions are welcome gentlemen. Dave Tschanz, editor and publisher of Cry "Havoc!" has recently signed a book contract for his Petra: A Brief History. August's Military History will carry "The Rise of the House of Sa'ud" by contributor T. W. Gideon.

Hints: in addition to Ken West's article on the Mongols, we're expecting an article on the events and personalities surrounding the Battle of Saratoga from contributing editor Mike Flynn and "A History of Artillery" from long time subscriber Charlie Holland. TSR, makers of the classic Dungeons and Dragons, has been acquired by Wizards of the Coast, publishers of Magic: The Gathering.
