WWII Japanese Army
1945 Coastal Defense

CD TO&E

by Loren Wiseman and Greg Novak

The last type of Infantry Division to be created was the 1945 Coastal Defense Division. The divisions were deployed in the Home Islands only, and so these formations never saw active service. These were static divisions, which were designed to slow up any Allied attack until such time as the mobile reserves could arrive.

NOTES

1. All transport for the artillery was grouped under the divisional headquarters, and was to be assigned as needed. It was not intended to actually move the divisional guns on the battlefield, but rather dig them in before the invasion started in fixed works.

2. The Command/FO Stands may not be moved once placed on the board.
