2. Six different types of Artillery Regiments were in service with the 1943/45 Infantry Divisions. The difference between the different regiments was in the number of battalions and their equipment, though all battalions were equipped with three batteries of 4 guns each.

    TYPE A: Mountain Artillery Regiment:
3 Battalions of 75mm Mountain Guns

    TYPE B: Field Artillery Regiment:
2 Battalions of 75mm Field Guns
      1 Battalion of 105mm Howitzers

    TYPE C: Field Artillery Regiment:
1 Battalion of 75mm Field Guns
      2 Battalions of 105mm Howitzers

    TYPE D1: Field Artillery Regiment:
1 Battalion of 75mm Field Guns
      1 Battalion of 150mm Howitzers

    TYPE D2: Field Artillery Regiment:

      1 Battalion of 150mm Howitzers

    TYPE E: Field Artillery Regiment:
1 Battalion of 75mm Field Guns
      1 Battalion of 105mm Howitzers
      1 Battalion of 150mm Howitzers

3. IG Companies used 75mm IG and 70mm IG, and in some cases replaced them with 81mm Mortars.

4. In 1944, a number of divisions replaced their 37mm AT Guns with the 47L44 AT Gun.
