The United States Army makes up the main element of the multinational force now serving in the Gulf. Most of the information needed on US organization can be found in COMBINED ARMS, but the 18th AIRBORNE CORPS was not included there, and so the organization for its major elements are included below.

Though the 82nd is still a Parachute Division, and the 101st is an Air Assault Division, the basic structure of both units is very similar. For the 101st, the note as 82nd indicates that the organization is the same for both units. Where the organization is different, that of the 101st is given.

There is some question as to whether or not the 75th Rangers have been sent to Gulf and if so which elements. They are included here in their entirety as an element of XVIII Airborne Corps.
