The British have send two Armored Brigades, as well as divisional troops to the Gulf to form the 1st Armored Division. (The third brigade needed to complete the formation will be the 3rd Brigade of the 3rd US Mechanized Division.) The British troops are among the best in the Gulf, and should be rated as: EXPERIENCE RATING AND MORALE Veteran, Morale 11 The British organizations are the same as those in COMBINED ARMS with the following exceptions. 1. The YV-432 APC's have been replaced by the AICV-80 IFV in the 1st Staffordshire, 1st Royal Scots, and 3rd Royal Fusiliers (All mechanized Infantry Battalions.) 2. The three Tank Regiments, ie Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, Queens Royal Irish Hussars, and the 14/20th King's Hussars are all equipped with the Challenger in place of the Chieftain. The 14/20th Kings Hussars has only three squadrons in place of the usual four. 3. The 16/5th Queen's Royal Lancers is a Corps Reconnaissance Regiment. 4. The 32nd Heavy Field Artillery Regiment is organized with 2 additional SP M109 155mm howitzer batteries as well as the usual 3 batteries of M-110 203mm Howitzers. 5. The 4th Army Aviation Regiment has 4 Gazelle OH and 6 Lynz AH with TOW.
