Prior to August 2nd, the Army of Kuwait consisted of two Armored Brigades and a Mechanized Brigade. Surviving elements of the Army fell back across the border into Saudi Arabia, and are currently reorganizing into the following:

KUWAITI NOTES

1. The Mechanized Infantry Battalion in the 35th Armored Brigade was equipped with BMP-2's for use as Infantry Fighting Vehicles. It is not known if these are still in use.
2. Kuwaiti Infantry Stands use the Carl Gustav as their Light Antitank Weapon.
3. One stand in each mechanized infantry company is equipped with the SA-7 for air defense.
