Prior to August 2nd, the Army of Kuwait consisted of two Armored Brigades and a Mechanized Brigade. The Mechanized Infantry Battalion in the 35th Armored Brigade was equipped with BMP-2's for use as Infantry Fighting Vehicles. It is not known if these are still in use. 2. Kuwaiti Infantry Stands use the Carl Gustav as their Light Antitank Weapon. 3. One stand in each mechanized infantry company is equipped with the SA-7 for air defense.
