S-4 Logistics

Royal Hobby Shop

by Greg Novak

S-4 for this issue will be a bit short, and will be concerned with sources of supply for 20mm players. I have gotten a number of requests for different vehicles in 20mm and would like to refer everyone to one of my favorite hobby shops - the Royal Hobby in Rockford, IL.

The Royal Hobby is some 150+ miles away from my house, and so the trek there is not as often as one might wish (thankfully for the pocket book!) For the 20mm gamer, the following lines are carried by the Royal:

AHKETON: 20mm Metal - 18 different vehicles WWII, USSR, US, Italy

    RED STAR MODELS - 20mm Resin - 27 different Soviet Items - Many Softskins - also both a 20mm 735 and T28

CROMWELL - 20mm Resin - over 100 different items for WWII and Modern, German. US, Canadian, French, Hungarian

    S & S MODELS - 20 m Resin - 40 Models of WWII and Modern,

MILITMEN MARKETING SERVICES - 20mm Metal - 14 different Modern Soviet Vehicles

LYZARDS GRIN TRACKS - 20mm Metal - Over 50 different WWII Guns, crews amd vehicles covering British, Russian, US, France, Italy and Japan

ALBY 1/72 Plastic/Resin? French company I had never seen before, but which has some beautiful items including a BA-64 as well as Polish TKS Tankette's

US CASTS: - 20mm Resin - 20 items, including rather complete line of LVT models, as well as Japanese, German, and Italian

These are only some of the lines that they carry, as well as a ample supply of 1/76 plastic kits. However I must warn you that some resin models last longer than others - and if you tend to hurl your models about with gay abandon resin Is not for you. Prices are high for some items - and stocks are always limited but if its the off beat you're looking for, then the Royal is for you.

For a catalog on these lines send a check for $3.00 to:
