Dear Sirs; I have received my first issue of the "CP", and I must say it exceeded all of my expectations. CD/CA is my favorite rule game system and I spend more time with it than any other game. However up to this point it was virtually impossible to find articles in the hobby press that dealt with it. Now in the shape of the "CP" there is a publication ha is devoted exclusively to this system. Though the first issue had some glaring errors and omissions (ie BA-64 Armored Car was erroneous designated as the OT-64, thus confusing it with the modern Czech 8x8 APC; statistics for the 73mm. gun were omitted the Chinese Farm Cheat Sheet), it also included a great deal of useful information and I enjoyed it tremendously. There is one matter that concerns me, though. You stated in the first issue that the second would be out in May, but as of late August I have not seen it. I am looking forward to your next issue with great anticipation. Sincerely Yours, Michael Jasinski I used Mikes letter not to put him on the spot but rather to answer questions that a number of you had and wrote in. The OT-64/BA-64 was my fault - the editors motto seems to be "A WASTE IS A TERRIBLE THING TO MIND" lately - but I'm glad that it was caught. The 73mm gun for the BMP's was left off due to the fact that in 6 games now played of the battle, I have never seen the 73mm Gun ever fired - the BMP's are usually burning wreckage long before they have a chance to use them. Seems the Israeli players really take a dislike to the AT-3. Last, you should have the 2nd issue of the CP by now, and get this issue sometime in September. --GN Back to Table of Contents -- Command Post Newsletter #3 To Command Post Quarterly List of Issues To MagWeb Master Magazine List © Copyright 1990 by Greg Novak.
