One problem I have had with the Pin result in the CD/CA Morale Rules is the rather deadly effect of it on a unit. While I agree with the result that the unit should not be allowed to advance toward the enemy, I don't always agree with the fact that the unit is totally unable to defend itself against all enemy action. My suggestion is that pinned stands be treated as command stands, ie allowed to fire in the Close Combat Phase only. They are not allowed Opportunity Fire, or General Fire, but if enemy units end up the turn within 10" they may then fire. This will mean that units that are pinned that are already in contact with the enemy will still have problems, but those some distance from the enemy will be less likely to be overrun due to a results of a unlucky morale throw.
