The Legion performed this service throughout the 1813-1814 campaign, including the battles of Grossbeeren, Dennewitz, and Leipzig, the campaign against Denmark, and later into Belgium. The Legion returned to Pomerania in June 1814 and was disbanded in Stralsund. CAVALRYA black shako, either French or a Russian kiver, with a brass chinstrap and a griffin in yellow metal on the front. Above the griffin a blue cockade trimmed yellow, a green pompom, and light green cords. A green jacket (kollet) with green collar and cuffs trimmed yellow. The bottom of the jacket was also trimmed yellow. Two rows of buttons of yellow metal. Shoulderstraps green trirnmed yellow, and light green shoulder cords on the right shoulder. Green riding trousers with double yellow stripes along the seams and a row of yellow buttons between the stripes. Grey trousers and hussar boots were also worn. Leather articles were black. INFANTRYA black Russian kiver or French shako with brass chinstraps. Shako peak trimmed yellow. On the front of the shako a yellow griffin and above this a blue cockade trimmed yellow. Green pompom, plume, and cords. Green jacket with collar, cuffs and turnbacks in the same color but trimmed yellow. Also two yellow lace button holes on the collar. The turnbacks were adorned with yellow hunting horns. Two rows of yellow buttons on the jacket front. Green pantaloons with yellow stripe along the seam. Belts black. Cartridge box black with a yellow hunting horn. A hunting sword was worn on the left side. The belt was brass; the scabbard black. COLORS AND STANDARDSIt is not known if the infantry carried a color. The cavalry were entitled to carry a standard with the coat of arms of Pomerania which consisted of a silver/white griffin on a red field. SOURCERawkins, W.J.
