SITUATION: The British have overrun the key position of Hill 112 midway between the River Odon and the River Orne. General Paul Hausser, Commander of 7th Army, has ordered General Bittrich, Commander of Second SS Panzer Corps to retake Hill 112. General Bittrich has committed SS Heavy Tank Battalion 502. Your unit is one company of the battalion. The counterattack has jumped off and the battalion is in the midst of the leading British Brigades. Despite Enemy air attacks and heavy artillery concentrations 502 SS has smashed the enemy south and east of Hill 112. The line is stabilized. MISSION: First Company, SS Heavy Tank Battalion 502 with grenadiers of 9th SS Panzer Division have been ordered to go up Hill 112 and restore the hill to German occupation. AT START: 1. Entry may be from A-Q-N board edge. The entire Company must come in at one location. For the first three turns from entry (turn of entry +2) each Players tanks will be represented by a cardboard counter rather than models. At the end of the German bound of the third turn after entry the models will be placed on the table. 2. Turn of entry may be from turn 3 thru turn 10. You must choose both your point of entry and turn of entry NOW, before the game begins. SUPPORT: Two nebelwerfer brigades will lay a three turn barrage on Hill 112 starting Turn 5. UNITS: First Company SS Heavy Tank Battalion 502. For each player there is a chance some of his tanks are Veteran One (V1) or Veteran Two (V2). Veteran Crews have a better chance of hitting their targets. Each player, supervised by the judge, will roll one six-sided die before the game starts. The number rolled is the number of Veteran crews he has. If a 5 or 6 is rolled then one crew is V2 rather than V1. Note: TM = Team (1. element). PLAYER 6 (COMPANY COMMANDER)
