Origins '80

A Courier Exclusive

by Dick Bryant

New Time - New Place

Because of various problems previously mentioned in these pages and due to the inability of the University of Delaware to guarantee food and beverage on campus, the ORIGINS '80 venue has been changed to: WIDNER COLLEGE in Chester, Pa., June 27, 28 & 29th, 1980 Those who remember last year will be glad to know that the dealers will be in MacMorland Center (where the cafeteria was). No trucking will be required as many facilities not available to Orgins '79 will be available to Orgins '80 and they are all within shouting distance of MacMorland Center. i.e. Kapelski Hall across from MacMorland Center, the ROTC Building next to MacMorland and Kirkbright next to Kapelski.

Call for Volunteers

Many complained, myself chief among them, that there were not enough miniature oriented events at Origins '79. I put my "money where my mouth was" by offering to organize all the miniature events. I am now asking you out there to volunteer to help by putting on rules demonstrations (wherein the spectators can participate); Seminars on rules, tactics, painting, organization, campaigning, etc. etc.; tournaments; general gaming; We have to get started now and the field is wide open. Send in your ideas and suggestions. Whatever you do - do something to help the miniature side of the hobby be the leader it should be.
