Richard started gaming in the earlier ‘70’s, when a friend brought over “Kriegspiel”. Later he got into WWII plastic 1/76 scale miniatures and now plays using the micro armor. In college he was turned on to Napoleonic Miniatures by a wargame group at the college

In the early 90’s Richard and his wife, Karen, started gaming in the Medieval period with 25mm figures and later that decade participated in some of the historical games at various Jodie Cons. Through the Jodie Cons he got involved in a 15mm American Revolution Campaign with some friends. These friends introduced him to Terry Gore’s Medieval Warfare – Richard has been hooked ever since, participating in events and competitions at Historicon, ColdWars and Fall-In. Richard has authored articles for in SAGA, Slingshot, Spearpoint & MWAN. These cover topics ranging from what it takes to put an army together to the use of terrain in tournaments. Currently, Richard is writing “Siege Warfare” for SAGA Publications, an extension of Terry Gore’s Medieval Warfare Rules. Recently Richard has been running a series of playtests of the Seige rules at both major and local conventions.

Richard has been a partner in Lone Keep Internet, Inc. for the last 15 years. He uses his experience with the internet to set up and participate in miniature campaigns covering a wide geographic area.

His advertising experience includes being ad manager for the Jersey Shore Community Information Bulletin an email newsletter of 7 years. With a subscription base of over 9000 he is responsible for obtaining and designing ads for it twice monthly editions. The premier information web site about the Jersey Shore, ShoreGuide.Info, keeps Richard busy finding and maintaining advertiser (sponsors) for the site. Visited by over 30,000 viewers per month part of his job is supplying sponsors with the demographics and other information about the web site.
