This issue should show that The Courier is back on schedule and here to stay. The next issue will be out in late April. Be sure to tell your wargaming friends. We have received back quite a few copies of #74 because the subscriber had moved and did not send in an address change. Where the PO has mailed the issue back with the address change noted, we have mailed those issues back to the correct address. However in many cases the forwarding order had expired and there is no address to forward to. The short of it is that if any of your friends have moved and are wondering where their issue is, tell them to drop me a line - I probably have it here. CHANGES IN THE HOBBYThis has been a period of many changes in the hobby; Avalon Hill sold, Ral Partha bought by FASA, Mini-Figs sold to Attractix. In addition there has been upheaval in the ranks of distributors. Greenfield has filed chapter 11, The Armory and Chessex have combined their operations and have a few problems to work out, I'm sure. Such upheavals have happened before and always resulted in a better hobby with new ideas, improved products and better service coming into the hobby. I'm sure that this will be the case once again. ARTICLES ABOUT CAMPAIGNS NEEDEDI have had quite a few requests for articles on campaigning. Many suggested that we do another series similar to the Colonial campaign series that we ran several years ago. I have always found that campaigns were the best way to generate interesting scenarios - some of the best I ever played in were part of a campaign. I am interested, therefore, in hearing about good campaigns that you have been a part of with an eye to running it as a series in The Courier. Send me an outline and enough information to judge on the completeness of the campaign. I will pick the one that seems to best fulfill the needs of the readers and will then will want a 4 - 6 part series describing your campaign. I won't start printing the series until I have all the parts. Please only submit campaigns that have come to a successful conclusion. – thanks. We have received a lot of mail congratulating us on the WWI Air Warfare article. A special thanks is due to Bill Rutherford, our 'Modern Period' Editor who put in a great deal of effort and research to make the article complete. If there are other subjects that you would like to see such an in-depth discussion on, please drop me a line. If you want to write such an article, I would love to hear from you. Finally - be sure to tell any of our advertisers that you buy from that you saw their advt.. in The Courier when buying their product. Thus the advertisers know that they are getting their money's worth and will continue to support the magazine.
