Questions
1: The first asked how would you set up the registration system at
conventions.
The answers were many, varied, well thought out and lengthy.
The length precludes my reporting on them here, but I will generate a
short synopsis of the replies to pass on to various convention organizers.
2. How many people besides yourself read your copy of The Courier?
2.83 on average, about the same as past years. The high was a club
who had 17 people reading the one copy - the print must fade!.
3. How much do you spend on the hobby per year?
A surprising number of people asked that I not print their name with
the figure - afraid their wives would read about it! Average was $660 with
one fellow claiming over $ 10,000! No. It wasn't Todd Fisher. I did not
include his numbers in the average.
4. How many gamers; do you personally know who do not go to
conventions or subscribe to magazines. The average was 6(!). This
may mean that the potential market is 6 times as large as presently
understood except that I should have also asked how many gamers that you
personally know who never buy figures, just borrows yours or the club's and
uses them? I ask that question now.
