Feedback

It's interesting that when we ask the readers to comment on what they would like to see to make The Courier better for them, we get the lowest percentage response we have ever had to a Volley Fire! I'm not sure what that means but the responses we did get are discussed below. Thank you to all who did respond.

90% said The Reviewing Stand was just right in length, the rest wanted more.

55% wanted more scenarios, 45% wanted more Battle Reports

99% would eliminate none of our Departments or Columns if they could, 1% would eliminate Down at The Wargame Club. We have just about finished with it any way.

The 5 favorite periods are (in order of votes recieved):
Napoleonic/ACW/Ancient (these three garnered more votes than all the others put together)
Colonial/WWII (Land & Sea)/Medieval/Seven Years War/AMR/18th Century Skirmish/WWI (Land & Sea)/ All Naval/& some 10 other periods with very few votes.

A little gamed period to find out more about? This question had about as many seperate non-duplicated replies as respondents, The highest number of votes being 22 for WWII and WWI Naval. Then South American Wars of Independance, French Colonial, Sino-Japanese War, Korea and FrancoPrussian War had 8 - 10 votes each. Then dozens of entries with 1 or 2 votes ea.

There does seem to be a small interest in WWII or WWI Naval - since that is one of my favorite gaming areas, I will try to provide a few good articles a year. We will try to do more with colonial period too. French and some of the more modern colonial conflicts. In general, gamers are in a bit of a rut and must learn to expand their horizons somewhat. There is a lot of fun to be had in other periods besides the first three named above. In our club old Colony Wargamers, we seldom game the same period in a 12 week gaming cycle. Though every game is historical and we have a ball!
