It has been two years and some since the appearance of CounterAttack #2. I will not take up this space with a laundry list of woes, a string of excuses, or a pyramid of reasons concerning that gap. Nor will I bother to comment upon the many bizarre statements which have been published about CounterAttack. I will express my deepest gratitude to a number of individuals who kept the idea of CounterAttack alive and maintained both the spirit to continue the fight and the patience to abide through lean times. This issue is an answer to their efforts.
