Corvus Belli Hundred Years War This small company sells through The Ancients in Ontario (http://www.theancients.ca/) These are 28mm figures and well detailed. I recently purchased the Irish kerns, and handgunners. They fit in well with Old Glory and Foundry, and are better than either. CB sells in blister packs of four figures for eight dollars (Canadian.) Black Tree Design has inaugurated a new line of Hundred Years War figures that look nice on the Internet, but I'll hold out for their bombard and crew release in February. I'm getting ready to place an order to Barb's Bunker. Barb is married to a gamer, and makes terrain pieces sold over the 'net. She has some incredible pieces including a Viking longhouse, but they are pretty costly. She also makes some generic features like fields, marshes, and duck ponds that are unique and reasonably priced from $20-50 for good sized pieces. Visit her site at www.barbsbunker.com. The proliferating number of Yahoo groups supporting miniature wargaming never ceases to amaze me. There are specific game period interest groups from ancients, to Lace Wars, to American Small Wars. There are groups to support specific rules sets. They do such a great job of connecting like-minded people to share ideas. One brand new group is the Corps of Terrain Engineers. Begun on December 23d, they exploded to nearly ninety members by this writing. It is intended to share terrain design ideas, and is going to offer contests to the membership to encourage terrain design. Terrain impaired gamers like me need this.
