I had a situation occur in my DBA tournament at Enfilade that I thought you might like to hear about. I started out with eight armies fighting four different battles. Each winner would then fight another winner in the second round, and those two winners would square off in the final round for world domination. However, in the second and third round, each winner would bring along the losing army as allies, and each army (winner or loser) could only bring stands that survived earlier battle(s) to the next battle. I only had seven players, so one of them suggested he have his 10 and 12 year old children play against each other, with him coaching and helping them with the rules. Of course one of them had to beat the other and be a first round winner. However, the two of them (with a bit of help from Dad) went on to win the second round as well. But when we got ready to play the third and final round, we had to bring in a replacement commander for the winning army because it was past the winning commander's bed time!
