By Mark Serafin
The more astute among you might have noticed a few changes to the Citadel in this issue. First, I have given up on the individual mailing envelopes (except for Canada) and have added a cover. This should allow we to save some money on envelopes and postage (remember, I'm also the treasurer). It will also save me a step in getting this thing in the mail, and I'm all for saving myself work. After all, I have figures to paint, too. I will be keeping the same email address (mserafin@halcyon.com) for the time being. One side-effect of moving is a state of massive disorganization. If this issue of The Citadel seems a bit sloppy, it is because that is the state of my life currently. I have tried not to forget to include anything people sent me, but I may have missed something in the chaos that is my new home. If I haven't included something, please forgive me and rest assured that it will find its way into the next issue. Of course, those of you who haven't submitted something should (and will) be flogged. February brings the NHMGS Auction (and gaming binge), held this year in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood of Seattle (near Woodland Park Zoo). A day of gaming (9am - 9pm) and another of frenzied spending (10am 2pm). What more could a gamer want? Why, a full-blown convention, of course, and to fill that need the mighty Trumpeter group from BC present another edition of Salutel Once again the Bonsor Center will reverberate to the sound of rolling dice, anguished cries, and Doug Hamm's calling out the winners to the inevitable raffles! How could any gamer say no? Get your selves up to Canada for what is always a great weekend. Those of you who are unhappy about the way NHMGS operates (perish the thought!) should consider running for an office at the next Enfilade! Yes, I know you hear this every year, but it still needs to be said - if you want to change the way things work, you need to get involved. I mention this now so that you have plenty of time to think about it (and/or forget about it) before Enfiladel If you wish to run, contact one of the officers (conveniently listed on the inside front cover). I will include any statements of intent in the next Citadel, which will also include the Preliminary Events Listing (PEL) for Enfiladel To be included in the PEL, fill out and return the Event Proposal form included in this issue.
