The Winter issue of The Citadel is always the easiest to do, because there is a bunch of up-coming events to tell you about. The auction, Salute up in Canada, and Enfilade! If you can't make it to a gathering of gamers in the next few months, you need to seriously re-evaluate your lifestyle. I am going to make my annual plea for U.S. members of NHMGS to support Salute up in B.C. I've gone for three years now, and have been quite pleased each year. No, it isn't as big as Enfilade! But the quality and variety of games presented is consistently high, the venue is a good one, and the Canadian dollar is weak against the US dollar, making for some real bargains. You really should make it up. I would like some feedback from the membership on the subject of the National HMGS. I get all sorts of e-mails on the situation with the National, but I hesitate to include them in The Citadel. Why? Because my impression is that most members don't care. I know I certainly don't. But it may be that I am in the minority on this. So if you feel that news of the National organization should be in The Citadel, please let me know. Remember NHMGS now has a web site at: http://nhmgs.simplenet.com/ The next Citadel will be the spring issue, scheduled for the last part of April. Submission deadline is April 15 – if you can get your taxes done, you can get an article done!
