Odds and Ends

Editorial

Well, prime gaming season is upon us. The holidays are over, the weather sucks, and there are a bunch of gettogethers happening, culminating in Enfilade! this May. Let's make the best of it, shall we?

The NHMGS Game Day and Auction will occur on the first weekend of February. It will be at the Bear Room of the USCG station in Seattle - where God intended for it to be. Get out all those old projects that never went anywhere and convert them into new projects that won't go anywhere! Sell the old lead you never painted (or painted so badly it's embarrassing) and buy more lead! By doing so you'll help fund NHMGS and Enfilade!

Those crazy Canadians of the Trumpeters Wargames club are putting on Salute again up in Burnaby. A very nice little convention, well worth the drive up. Good games, tons of free door prizes (that I never win) and food on-site. The Canadian dollar is cheap compared to the U.S. so it's a bargain, plus Canada seems to enjoy a surplus of beautiful women, so why wouldn't you go? Well, OK, U.S. Customs can be jerks on the way back, but other than that you have no excuse!

Individuals crazy enough, er, wishing to become an NHMGS officer should think about throwing their hats into the ring now. As you know, the election will be held at Enfilade!. There is only one issue of the Citadel before that, and if you want to declare your candidacy for office, that issue will be the time to do it. C'mon, I know you're all power-mad would-be Caesars. Hopefully someone from east of the mountains will volunteer to be vice president out there.
