Blue Max Errata

WWI Aircraft

by Ray Trochim

If you are a Blue Max gamer you will find the following information very helpful. After talking to Phil Hall, we've come up with an errata for the Aircraft Maneuver Schedules. I also have some other goodies like an up-to- date combat chart for anyone that is interested. You can go to the Blue Max web page (http://pease1.sr.unh.edu/1/bluemax) to down load it. Allan will make it available soon keep looking if it's not there yet.

Errata for Blue Max Aircraft Maneuver Schedules

Listed below is a list of corrections for players wishing to eliminate some of the errors that worked their way into the Aircraft Maneuver Schedules that came with their Blue Max miniatures rules.

1. Ignore the maneuver schedule that has only the Siemens-Schuckert IDIII/DIV & Sopwith Snipe. There is another maneuver schedule that is the same but with the Fokker DVIII added to the bottom of it. Use the one with the Fokker DVIII instead.

2. On some of the aircraft maneuver schedules, maneuver number 9 needs to be corrected. The correct digits for maneuver number 9 should read 9R2 and 9L2. On some schedules, maneuver number 9 reads 9R1 and 9L1 which is incorrect.

3. On some of the aircraft maneuver schedules, maneuver number 11 needs to be corrected. The correct digits for maneuver number 11 should read 11 R2 and 11 L2. On some schedules, maneuver number 11 reads 11 R1 and 11 Ll which is incorrect.

4. Below is a list of aircraft maneuver schedules (late war) that need maneuver numbers 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 changed to 2S1, 3S2, 6S1, 7SI, 8R1, 81-1, 10R1, 10L1, 12S2, 13S2, 14R2,14L2, 15R2, 15L2, 16R2, 16L2, 17R2, and 17L2. As an example, on the Albatross DIII schedule, maneuver number 3S3 needs to be changed to 3S2, maneuvers 10R2 and 10L2 needs to be changed to 10R1 and 10L1 and the others.

Albatross DIII, Morane-Saulnier type N,Pfalz DIIIa, Bristol Scout D, Sopwith Triplane, Fokker Dr. I, Nieuport 12, Halberstadt CLIIa, Airco DH2, Nieuport 17, Albatros D1/DII, Bristol F2B, Nieuport 11, Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter, Sopwith Pup, Avro 504K, Fokker EIII/Pfalz EIII
