Mark I want to thank D. J. Coletrain for his review of The Courier reprints that appeared in the last issue of The Citadel. It had become a burden to store 100's of back issue of The Courier and quite a few of the earlier copies no longer existed, except for 3 pristene copies I keep for posterity. We hated to see all these great articles lost forever, and felt that some inexpensive way had to be found to make the material available. Re-printing complete with photos and illustrations would have been too costly, requring a price of some $25+ per period, hence the Xerox copies. I had to take the further step of blanking out all the ads, as I knew that someone would try to respond to some ad from 1980 and hold up the vendor to those 1980 prices! We reproduced articles from Vol. 1, No. 1 through the first 50 issues and we have had some teething problems. The demand was so high that we have fallen behind in production and are slowly catching up. We've also had some mis-aligned pages and poorly reproduced pages as described in Mr. Coletrain's article. We are cleaning up the problems and will replace anyone's booklet which he feels is less than readable. Just send it back with a letter and be sure to include a return address. This is NOT a money back guarantee, just a guarantee that you will have a useable copy. I think that it is important that this valuable gaming resource not be lost to the hobby, so we will continue to expand the reprints into other periods and there are plans to publish "The Best of the Old Courier," being articles from the first incarnation of The Courier , that was published from 1968 to 1978.
