Well, it's 1997. I know you all made New Year's resolutions to write an article for The Citadel, so let me be the first to remind you how much better, even cleansed, you will feel after you have done it. Seriously, I need articles for the next issue, otherwise I will have no choice but to fill it with 'Larry Leadhead' cartoons. It's winter. The weather is beastly. 'Tis the season to go gaming! Take a look at the events listing - there are all sorts of choices. First up is the auction is in February - I always have a better time gaming at the auction than I do at ENFILADE! Besides, it's the perfect opportunity to spend all your money on stuff you can wonder about months later ("what was I thinking when I bought this?"). The next choice is Salute '97 up in British Columbia. Trumpeter Wargamers put on a good convention, with a pleasant venue and gentlemanly opponents. And, of course, the Big One, ENFILADE!, is coming up at the end of May. To encourage you to partake of the upcoming gaming frenzies, this issue of The Citadel includes a pre-registration form for Salute '97, and an Event Proposal form for ENFILADE! Next issue will inblude a listing of ENFILADE! events, so I encourage you to turn in a proposal.
