Larry Reber handcrafts his scale model individual cotton bales with the same precision and care as his balloons (seen in the last issue of CHARGE!) and soldiers (several hundred of my 15mm ACW figures were painted by Larry). 15mm and 25mm examples of Larry's model bales Each miniature bale is handcrafted with real cotton from Alabama and Tennessee, and is weighted with lead for sturdy gaming use. Bales are available in 15mm, 25mm, 40mm, and 54mm scales. The miniature bales are realistic and can be stacked or laid side by side, depending upon the scenario. He used period photographs of actual cotton bales as a model, and has carefully researched their usage on the battlefield. In Larry's relics collection is an original old metal bale tag (used to ID the bale and its manufacturer), which he has displayed at past gaming conventions. I highly recommend these model bales.
