We start our second year of CHARGE with great enthusiasm and gratification. You, the regimental-level ACW miniature wargaming community, have truly responded to our newsletter, and Debi and I sincerely appreciate each and every one of you. Please feel free to send us e-mails with suggestions on further improvements. Your feedback is quite welcome! The massive regimental-level 25mm Gettysburg wargame in Carlisle went very well! My compliments go out to Fred Hubig, Lorraine Luciano, and the entire staff of volunteers who worked so hard to make this a smashing success. Due to work commitments, I was unable to participate as Col. "Red" Carroll of the Gibraltar Brigade, but I had fun selling copies of CHARGE and Enduring Valor, as well as meeting several members of the Johnny Reb Gaming Society in person. We welcome a number of new members who joined us at the Carlisle megagame. We have been busy proofreading the hand-drawn terrain maps of South Mountain and Antietam from the upcoming new full-color (colour for our British members!) scenario booklet, Undying Courage. Antietam in Miniature, which should be out in early 2005. I break down the fighting in the Maryland Campaign in bite-sized pieces so that the regimental gamer may study the troop dispositions, terrain, and tactics on their own tabletop battlefields. Scenarios and Articles Needed! Please feel free to send us your Johnny Reb gaming scenarios (Civil War, American Revolution, or any other period that works with the JR rules system). Send all submissions to the Johnny Reb Gaming Society at jrgsnl@aol.com. Articles will be used based upon space and availability per issue, and may be edited by the star Keep `em coming, soldier!
