Welcome to "CHARGE!" the official newsletter of the Johnny Reb Gaming Society. This group is an informal association of miniature wargamners who use the Johnny Reb gaming rules developed by John Hill. The society exists to actively promote the usage of all three versions of these excellent rules, and to provide sponsorship for JR games at wargaming conventions. The newsletter will provide a quarterly forum for exchanging information regarding the rules, original wargaming scenarios written with JR in mind, and historical articles of general interest to the Civil War miniature gamer. In addition, from time to time, we will feature contests and trivia with Civil War-related prizes to the winners. US membership in the society is $15 per year, which will cover some of the cost of assembling, printing, and mailing the newsletter, as well as to cover promotional expenses. Dues are payable via money order or personal check, which must be made out to Deborah Mingus (society treasurer and secretary). Our mailing address and e-mail address are as follows:

All submissions of articles should be in Microsoft Word format with scenario maps either submitted in MS PowerPoint, or in some other electronic format, including Acrobat files. Contact the editor should you wish to submit hand-drawn maps. The copyrighted name Johnny Reb is used by written permission of John Hill. Scenarios and Articles Needed! Please feel free to send us your Johnny Reb gaming scenarios (Civil War, American Revolution, or any other period that works with the JR rules system).
