I want to say thank you to all who have offered encouragement support advice and friendship to Debi and I as we developed the Johnny Reb Gaming Society and this newsletter. We truly appreciate the generosity of the Civil War gaming community! With our kids gone from home off in college, this newsletter has been a joint labor of love for Debi and I, and has enabled us to have a project together.

Our goal is to bring you an ever-improving product chock-full of useful scenarios, articles, and information. We encourage you to submit anything that you feel would be of interest to the regimental-level Civil War gamer or history buff.

In this issue, the JR Gaming Society is proud to present the first installment in a multi-part series by George Anderson recreating the battles for Atlanta. The scenario is Peachtree Creek.

Maintaining the creek theme, Scot Gore has submitted a Wilson's game that is sure to be a popular choice for conventions and gaming groups.

Doug Kline has provided another excellent terrain article -- this one naturally on modeling creeks and rivers an your gaming table.

Daniel Erdman brings us tips on how to make fantastic scratch-built fences and stonewalls and Doug Rogers offers advice for the new Johnny Reb gamer.
