This comes from the Naga Expansion Set booklet: a personality (Shahadet) and a unit (Shahadet's Legion).

Shahadet

Prior the the Great Sleep of the Naga, the Shahadet was seen only as an "honorary" title, the accolade given to the strongest single warrior in the Asp Bloodline. Unlike the Qamar, whose authority extended over all the Bloodlines, and whose voice carried the weight of all their people, the Shahadet's purpose (to defend the Naga Empire and destroy their enemies) seemed rather archaic.

No more.

The Shahadet rose to his title through friendly contests of strength and ferocity, but now the Naga Empires find that the land they once ruled peacefully has become corrupt and deadly. The Qamar has his hands filled with organizing his armies and leading the initiative to seek out those who still sleep.

It falls to the Shahadet to guard the Shinomen Forest and destroy those who would harm the Naga race. He has few reservations about killing samurai, and his weapons are often covered with the same poison that rests in his fangs.

His opinion is simple - so long as the humans stay out of Shinomen Forest the Shahadet is content to lead the legions of the Asp into battle against the forces of the Shadowlands, and not the samurai themselves.

Shahadet's Legion

Naga Units

Like the leaders of the Naga, these troops have a full understanding of their place in the struggle against Evil, and have no fear, that destiny. As a result most Naga troops have the ability Fearless.

In the case of the Naga, and only in the case of the Naga, tt troop's Fearless Ability adds to that of the leader (see the rules on Naga Fearlessness).

Shahadet's Legion

"A constant hail of arrows covered their approach, and their savage strike destroyed a unit and collapsed our flank. Say what you will of their motives, but do not question their prowess."

Shahadet's Legion serves a two-fold mission - they serve as a powerful center-piece in the Naga front lines, and provide unfailing protection to the Naga military leaders. Trained by Shahadet - a highly skilled soldier among the Naga - these troops combine a high degree of skill with the yumi and great talent with the sword. They wear great leaves from the largest trees in the Shinomen forest - leaves that are as thick and tough as leather.
